EXPERIENCE
Swim Marin Shark Pups
150 3rd St, San Rafael, CA 94901
Swim Instructor
February 2019 - June 2020
As part of San Rafael's swim team (Swim Marin), Shark Pups offers swimming lessons to children aged 8 and under with the goal of having them compete for the club team. I taught 6 - 7 classes with up to 8 children of 3rd level swimmers. In these classes, I taught children how to be water-safe, how to dive, and eventually how to dive underwater before graduating to the team. I also taught children how to become comfortable with the water and blow bubbles as a sub and certified lifeguard to ensure their safety.

September 2020 - 2021
At Sam’s Anchor Cafe, our team strives for excellent customer service while maintaining customer health and safety with our COVID-19 health guidelines. As a Hostess, I greet customers at the door, sanitizing them before entrance and making sure they are wearing masks. I also manage our restaurant’s waitlist, bring customers to their tables and inform them about our restaurant’s policies.

August 30 2022 - November 17 2022
At the Ritz Carlton Bacará I represented the company's high-end brand working in the hospitality industry. As a hostess, I greeted guests at the property’s O’Bar restaurant and made accommodations for any additional needs of guests or servers such as setting tables, running orders, and calling golf carts to pick guests up. Additionally I participated in several all-day presentations to learn about the service, product, and property of the Ritz Carlton Bacará in order to ensure I provided the highest level of service that was expected.

PROJECTS
Beyond Hunger — Volunteer December 2018 - March 2020
Beyond Hunger is an organization that teaches 8th-11th graders body acceptance, intuitive eating, and emotional intelligence to prevent eating disorders. We work with teenage students who are especially vulnerable to developing an eating disorder. As a peer educator, I gave in-class presentations to raise awareness of the dangers of eating disorders.
SPARKL Reusables — VolunteerJanuary 2020-July 2020
As an unpaid intern and environmental ambassador, I promoted the use of reusable SPARKL containers in Whole Foods, reducing the need for single-use disposables and ultimately finding more sustainable practices for take-out food. I also reached out to bigger organizations to expand the company and trained several other interns to work with SPARKL.
Make a Splash — VolunteerJune 2018-August 2019
This is a non-profit organization that depends on the leadership of volunteer high-schoolers to teach 8 and under children from local underserved areas, such as Canal and Pickle-weed, how to swim over the summer. I taught children 8 and under, who often never had experience in the water, how to become comfortable in the water and begin to swim.
